Edition Office

Melbourne, Australia

Edition Office is a Melbourne-based architecture studio founded in 2016 by Aaron Roberts and Kim Bridgland. Both directors met as Masters of Architecture students at RMIT and worked previously at Room 11 Architects before founding the practice together. The studio engages in cultural, social and technological research to enable an exploration of material expression, form, and spatial practice. Edition Office perceives each project as part of a continuous editorial archive, where work across built projects, writing, lectures, and curatorial output forms a coherent and evolving body. The practice is known for residential work that responds closely to site, landscape, and material, and has collaborated with artists including Daniel Boyd and Yhonnie Scarce. Edition Office was named Dezeen's Emerging Architect of the Year in 2019 and has received awards at the Australian Institute of Architects' National Architecture Awards, the Victorian Architecture Awards, and the Grand Designs Australia Magazine House of the Year Award.
